On the basis of experience in teaching family law, the author demonstrates the possibility of supporting abstract, made up of students, as a form of training and control of the knowledge gained. The article provides guidelines for drawing up the reference summaries on selected topics of the discipline "family law", expediency and objective evaluation of the level of knowledge of students in the implementation and verification of the supporting notes.
